School Committee The monthly meeting of the Pleasant Point District High School Committee was presided over by Mr W. J. Halkett. The headmaster’s report showed that the roll of the primary department, after a drop for several years, had increased, raising the school into the next sub-grade. Sixty pupils had undertaken projects in the agricultural club. Thanks were accorded to the staff of the Timaru Library and to the firms that co-operated in a special study by pupils of the secondary department. Mr N. L. Bailey was appointed to represent the committee at a rural education rally at Geraldine, at which Mr W. J. Bennett will open a discussion on agricultural education. The Works Committee was instructed to investigate the headmaster’s request for improved drainage of the playground
