LEGAL PROCESSES
Cheapening In Sight (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. Designed to facilitate the giving of evidence, the Evidence Amendment Bill was introduced in the House of Representatives to-night, read a second time pro forma and referred to tht Statutes Revision committee. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason said the Bill followed the amendments made in England. It would tend to cheapen legal processes. The main interest of the Bill was its relationship to servicemen who served ov°rseas. It had been necessary to have war regulations providing for the witnessing of documents overseas. Some of these do-iil would require their validity to b-> permanently established and embodied in the statute so that the war regulations could be revoked.
