Professor Copland CANBERRA, Sept. 29. Professor D. B. Copland, New Zea-land-born economist, will soon relinquish his position as Commonwealth Prices Commissioner to resume the

University work from which he has been absent for six years. Announcing this, the Commonwealth Prime Minister (Mr J. B. Chifley) today said that Professor Copland had handled price control with marked ability and the Commonwealth was under a debt to him for the benefits which the nation derived from the successful battle against inflation.
