U.S. OIL WORKERS STRIKE
Effect on Services Hl p.m.i WASHINGTON. Sept. 28. Tin- Secretary of Labour (Judge Lewis Sehwellenbach) announced that tile Winy and Navy reported they could not carry on beyond next week, unless ,',5,0(10 oit refinery workers in seven States returned to work. Judge Schwellenbach said the dispute must be settled early next week. He added that he was not aware of any Government plans for the seizure of wells and refineries. The Oil Workers’ Union authorised a nation-wide strike if Government conciliation efforts fail.
