The following New Zealand civilian internees, all of whom served in the Malayan volunteer forces, are reported to have died:— Burns. Sergeant A (Hamilton). Russell Private L. (Auckland), Watt Sapper L. 1., mother. Mrs A J. Watt. Ashburton The following two merchant seamen from (he motor vessel Hauraki who were previously interned are now reported safe: Thomson. R.
