Webster), there was a decrease in births, but an increase in marriages, compared with September last year. The quarterly figures show a similar tendency with a higher proportion of deaths. Following are the monthly figures with those for the corresponding months of last year in parentheses: Births 41 (53). deaths 22 (21), marriages 17 (12), marriages in registry office 1 (3).
