Action In Holland LONDON, September 26. Under financial measures, aimed at uncavering black marketeers and < ; >!!abr rators' hoards, the whole of Holland’s 2,700,01)0,000 guilders and bank note circulation became invalid to-day. New notes will be issued on October 3. The Dutch for the last fortnight have been paying notes to banks and post offices. Each person is allowed to exchange 10 old guilders for new notes, which must suffice for all needs for a noteless week. The authorities expect the moneyless week to- produce much inconvenience and even hardship, but. consider that it is essential for the success of the currency purge.
