Trees Planted
Having secured from the Education Board the right to plant trees on a 50-acre reserve at Ashwick Flat, boys from the District High School and upper standards of the primary school commenced the planting on Wednesday. Mr F. J. Turner was in charge. By the middle of the afternoon 1000 pin us insignus and Oregon trees had been planted on an area of 2 acres. It is proposed to plant a large area next year, and to follow on each year until the whole 50 acres is planted.
