KARAPIRO HYDRO
(N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON. Sept. 27. The Rt. Hon. P. Fraser told the Power Boards’ conference which opened today that a cable message had just been received from Sir Stafford Cripps that the date of delivery of the machinery for the Karapiro hydro station would have to be deferred for another four months, so that on present indications it was not likely to be able to take the load until the winter of 1947.
