Soldiers Welcomed Home Many friends gathered in the Rangitata Soldiers’ Mefnorial Hall to do honour to the men of the district who have returned from overseas. Mr D. G. Cain extended a welcome and called on Mrs M Metcalf to make the 'presentation after which each of the following men replied, making special mention of the interest of the Women’s War Guild: Driver C. Kelland. Privates K. Ineson D. Wright. L. Edgar, A. McDonald and K. Palmer, the last named apologising for the absence of his two brothers. Other speakers were Mrs Edgar (Women’s War Guild) and Mr G. Edgar (R.S.A.). Novelty dances were won by Mr and Mrs J. Watts and Mr and Mrs G. Metcalf. Mr J. Coulter supplied the music and Mr L. Wood was M.C. Miss F. Miller supplied an extra. Tennis Dance At the recent tennis dance held in the Rangitata Soldiers' Memorial Hall, there was a good attendance. Miss C. Wright and Mr A. Sim were the winners of the lucky spot. Mr I. Donaldson and Miss F. Miller contributed extras. Mr L. Wood was M.C.
