“MIGHT LAST MANY YEARS”
Occupation Of Japan (12.57 a.m.) TOKIO, Sept. 25. General MacArthur, through a Headquarters spokesman, said that the occupation of Japan “might last many years.” He denied that he ever stated that the occupation forces should be withdrawn within six months.
