Naw League.—At a meeting of the executive of the Navy League it was decided to dispatch a case of tinned foods to England for the relief of dependants of naval ratings. It is hoped that the response by the people of Timaru will enable a substantial contribution to go forward, and thus help tn make a brighter Christmas for the widows and children of those seamen who have sacrificed their live".
