Syria And Lebanon (5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23. Reuter’s correspondent reports the resignation of the Syrian Government which has held office since October, 1944, under Fayez el Khourey, also the formation of a new Lebanese Government under Sami Solh in succession io Abdul Hamid Karemeh’s ministry, which resigned on August 20. The Syrian Government resigned because of opposition from a number of Deputies.
