Dakota Squadron <Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON. Aug 24 More than 1,000.000 miles lias been covered in 7500 hours without, accident by Dakota Squadron 209, R.A.F. Transport Command Group in India, commanded by Wing Commander Alfred Harding. D.F.C., <if Wellington. The squadron thus became the fourth bolder of the Group Championship Cup which Air Marshal Sir Ralph Cochrane presented to them at a special parade on the Delhi airfield. The squadron operates daily services from Delhi around the east and west coasts of India to Ceylon. It flew 2,000,000 miles in 14.500 hours in the first two months of 1945. The group flew 8.500,000 miles in 61,000 flying hours in the year which ended with Japan's surrender, all free from fatal accidents.
