MINISTER APPROVES
Purchase Of Site For Hospital Proposed 24-Bed Institution At Geraldine The Minister of Health (the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer) had given his consent to allow the South Canterbury Hospital Board to purchase the property known as “The Pines” at Geraldine, said the secretary of the Board (Mr H. G. Naylor) yesterday. It was a greed "at a meeting of the Board this week to accede to the request by the Geraldine Hospital Committee for the building of a 24-bed hospital at Geraldine. During his recent visit, the Minister gave a sympathetic hearing to the suggestion and approved of the site at “The Pines.”
