HOMESERVICEMEN

Local Association At a meeting of the executive of the South Canterbury branch of the Homeservicemen's A-scciation, the principal matter before the meeting was the president’s report on the recent Dominion conference. The conference was particularly well amended, 14 out of the 15 South Island branches having delegates present. The remits were dealt with by the committees and the subsequent findings were fully discussed by the conference. Reports were received from Mr Duncumb, Claims Officer, on pending pension cases. The treasurer's report showed a healthy balance with membership still increasing. Mr Green reported on the activities of the Social Committee and mentioned that the reunion would be held next month. Mr F... R. Wilks, president of the Geraldine Sub-branch, took the opportunity of congratulating Mr H. B. Timmings on his election to the Dominion Council of the Association.
