Festive Throngs
(N.Z.P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Aug. 16. Peace celebrations were continued in Invercargill to-day in sunny weather. A large crowd assembled in front of the Town Hall, where the Mayor read the victory proclamation and speeches were delivered by leading citizens, one of whom was Mr Justice Kennedy. The streets were again thronged with merrymakers to-night, the weathei being ideal for outdoor celebrations.
