RECOVERED CHINESE TERRITORY
Officials Appointed CHUNGKING. Aug. 13. The Supreme National Defence Council chose General Io Choyina - , formerly commander of the Chinese forces in Burma, as Governor of Kwangtung Province in Manchuria, which was held by the Jaoanese. The Council also selected mayors for Shanghai. Nanking. Peiping and Tientsin. The Associated Press points out that Kwantung includes the warm water points of Dairen and Port Arthur.
