British Pacific Fleet
More Than 400 Ships GUAM, August 13. Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser disclosed that more than 400 ships now comprise the British Pacific Fleet and supply train. Sir Bruce Fraser considered that Sydney was too remote to replace Singanore as a fleet base. He presented Admiral Nimitz with the Insignia of the Knight Grand Cross of the Bath.
