Appeal lo Retailers • N.Z.P.A t WELLINGTON. Aug. 14. The Mims!er of Supply ithe Hon. D G. Sullivam issued a statement tonight appealing to all grocers and other vendors of bread to open their hops lor the sale of bread lor two hours on the morning after the announcement of peace. “Il will have been <>b.'taxed in ’he newspapers, said Mi Sullivan, "that the master bakers and their workers have agreed to bake bread on the evening ot the c ay of the annum cement for delivery the nex; morning and I assume retailers will open as suggested to dispose of the bread on the morning of delivery. I have been in touch wi*h the Council of the New Zealand Master Grocers' Association, and full concurrence is expressed with the above appeal.
