HILL, Principal. ~ GERALDINE NOTICES GERALDINE PEACE CELEBRATIONS AT GERALDINE FIRST DAY: If news comes through before 5 p.m. on any day, Church Services will be held at 7 p.m., to be followed by short Civic Function and Community Sing in Town Hall at 8 p.m.. followed immediately at 9.45 p.m. by a Community Social and Dance. Plain and fancy dress and mad hats. If the news comes before Noon, a short Service will be held at the War Memorial at 2 p.m. as well. ,SECOND DAY: Fancy Dress Procession leaves Mole’s at 1.30 p.m. All invited to join with floats and decorated cars, decorated ! cycles, prams, etc. Younger children (fancy dress, if possible) join at Bank i of New Zealand. Procession will proceed ito Secondary School Grounds for ' Victor}’ Sports and Carnival, including Baby Show, Afternoon tea (Ladies ! please bring baskets). i The procession will be headed by the (Geraldine District Band and R.S.A., Homeservicemen. Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Brownies, Red Cross V.A.D.'S, and all ] organisations are invited to join in I uniform or fancy dress. ; 7 p.m.—Dark Town Fire Brigade, i Torchlight Procession and Bonfire Bring your own torches.
