Sir,—The following information may be ol interest to your correspondent "Sunshine." ill The slogan. "Sunny Timaru," has more advertising value than scientific truth. Meteorological records of the | annual average number of hours of I bright sunshine per annum show that 1 Timaru is surpassed by many places in : New Zealand, including Auckland. ' Wellington, New Plymouth, Napier. ! Nelson. Blenheim, Hokitika and Christchurch.
