Geraldine advised that they I could not play on their ground, because I there were seven inches of frozen snow on the ground. The team offered to come into town, but it had not been possible to secure the use of the Caledonian Ground. The Ashburton Union wrote confirming September 8 as the date for the return match with South Canterbury in Timaru. Tlie Sydenham Club, Christchurch, I wrote asking if the Union could arrange I a game for the club's under 18 team. It was agreed to select a South Canterbury team, under 18 to play, the selectors to be chosen at the next meeting. Clubs will later be asked to nominate players. The Sydenham Club are to be offered September 8 for the match, which will be played as a cur-tain-raiser to the return match with Ashburton. The representative team to visit Ashburton on Saturday is Io assemble at the secretary's office at 10.30 a.m. Draw For Saturday Following Is the draw for Saturday: Third trade: Celtic v.
