GERALDINE LAMBS APPEAR
Signs Of Spring In Spite Of Snow The first lambs of spring have appeared at Te Moana and Carew, and in spite of the snow a number have .survived. The green tendrils of many spring flowering bulbs are beginning to show through the snow in the warmer corners of many gardens. Eighteen degrees of frost were recorded on Friday, and 13 degrees on Saturday. All sport, with the exception oi a Possibles v. Probables basketball game, was abandoned on Saturday because of the snow-covered ground.
