French Seaside Resorts Closed (9.45 p.m.) P. A RIS, July 20. Because of the danger from mines, French seaside resorts are closed to holidaymakers. The French coast lines, particularly the Atlantic coast, are literally riddled with mines. They are not only near the sea. Children playing in the woods near Strasbourg are killed every day by exploding mines. Cattle are killed in fields which have not been properly demined.
