C.l.O’s. Post-war Plans <7.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. July 19. Mr R. J. Thomas, president of the C. 1.0. United Automobile Workers’ Union, declared th a victory over Japan would be a signfli to him to start authorising strike.;. “There will be a lot of them.'' he said. “We will authorise strikes in every plant where the present grievance continues to exist.” He added that the chief reason for strikes would l>e the fact, that automobile employers in the industry had not accepted the union.
