PUBLIC NOTICE TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL NJOTICE is hereby given that resolu- * ' tions were passed by the Timaru Borough Council at a Special Meeting : held on July 9, 1945, and will be sub- I mitted for cor firmation as Special I Orders at a meeting of the said Council ; to be held at the Borough Council j Chambers, King George's Place. | Timaru, on MONDAY, AUGUST. 13. j 1945, at 7.30 p.m. The object or purport of the said j resolution is as follows: (1) That the Council resolves to make a Bylaw, which is to be called ' “The Timaru Borough Bylaw No. I 1. 1945.” This Bylaw is a con- | solidation of all the Bylaws in force I in the Borough of Timaru (with the I exception of “The Timaru Borough j Building Bylaw, 1940, No. 1”) and I amends and adds to the said Bylaws. All Bylaws in force in the said Borough, that is to say, “The Timaru Borough Consolidated By- | law. 1906,” and all amendments thereto (with the exception of the ! said "The Timaru Borough Building Bylaw, 1940, No. 1”) are repealed by the said Bylaw. (2) That the Council resolves to make a Bylaw to be called “The Timaru 1 Borough Building Bylaw Amend- I ment, 1945, No. 1” with regard to: (a) The construction, design, alteration, repair, location and maintenance of the means of egress from buildings other than private dwelling houses and buildings used for public meetings, (b) The minimum requirements for buildings used or intended for human habitation, and (c) Certain types of building construction commonly known as stud framing. The Bylaw is substantially in the form of the New Zealand Standard Code of Building Bylaws compiled by the New Zealand Standard Institute Parts VII and IX. A copy of each of the said Bylaws has been deposited at the office of the Council in King George's Place, Timaru, aforesaid, and is open for inspection by the public without payment during office hours, which are from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on week-days from Monday to Friday (inclusive).
