Brigadier-General Stewart Beimel, Chief of the New York Ordnance District, reported that American ordnmee experts in Gem. . ny found a super-heavy 31in. gun which fired a 5-ton shell.. Investigators found ammunition with a range of ;i4 miles. It wi'.s a new type of rocket-firing gun.
