ANGLO-AMERICAN PRESS
Anti-Soviet Campaign Alleged (Rec. 12.50 a.m.) LONDON. May 30. The Moscow radio’s political commentator, broadcasting in English, accused certain sections of the AngloAmerican Press of poisoning the whole international atmosphere w’ith a furious anti-Russian campaign. The Hearst, McCormick and Patterson newspapers could well take the place of Goebbels’ press, said the commentator. The decision of the American authorities to allow all newspapers without exception to enter occupied Germany is certainly 7 a reason for uneasiness. We hope that the antiRussian campaign will stop. Sweden Attacked Attacking Sweden, a “Pravda” commentator says: “She is hostile to Russia. Her Press is pro-Fascist, and hexFascist leaders are trying to drive a wedge between the Russian and Swedish peoples. Sweden has systematically broke her neutrality for the benefit of Germany. Her reactionaries miscalculated by staking their cards on a Hitlerite victory. German Fascism has directed Sweden too long. It is time she realised that the Red Army 7 decisively defeated Germany. “The Allies and Rxissian victories again created peace in Europe. Sweden by her ambiguous policy during the war has temporarily excluded herself from the circle of freedom-loving nations. There is no doubt that Swedish people wish to live in friendly relations with the Russians, but the Fascists are trying to prevent this accord."
