AMERICA’S DEAD
Memorial Day (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 30. The graves of United States servicemen in Karori cemetery were bright to-day with floral tributes and miniature American flags when an informal observance of Memorial Day was held. New Zealand widows of American servicemen unveiled an Oregon pine Planted in the cemetery by New Zealand friends of troops who were stationed here, and a short service was held over the grave of the first American air casualty to be buried in Wellington. The United States Minister to New Zealand, the Hon. K. S. Patton, was present, also the Naval and Military attaches also the Hon. W. Nash, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason and the Hon. W. Perry, ML.C
