Thoroughness Appreciated.—“l have been instructed by the Mackenzie County Council to express the appreciation and congratulations of the Council on the comprehensiveness of the report on the South Canterbury Catchment Board’s activities and on the very sound method of financing the Board’s activities which it has So far been your endeavour to bring about,” writes MrD. Jeune (County EngineerClerk) in a letter read at th.- meeting of the Board yesterday. “The Council does appreciate.” wrote Mr Jeune, "the considerable time and thought given by all members of the Board in the study of the gr "it problem connected with erosion and soil conservation.”
