TOUR OF BRITISH FARMS
U.S. Congressmen Impressed LONDON, May 29. Three Congressmen, Messrs Harold D. Colley, Arnold E. Earthman and George Grant, have just returned to London from a fortnight's tour of British farms. They were very impressed with the activity they saw and the spirit of the farmers and producers to the call for more food. During their tour, they said, they had not seen a single field untilled, and every field was being utilised to the fullest advantage. They added that the Allied forces owed a great deal to the Women’s Land Army for their marvellous contribution to the success of the agricultural programme.
