Women’s Institute The monthly meeting of the Women’s Institute was held in the school on Wednesday. Mrs Palmer presided. A letter was received from Miss A. Faulkner thanking members for their gift. Mrs Palmer reported on the annual Federation meeting. After much discussion it was arranged to hold the next meeting on May 24 in the evening, the meeting to be followed by a social hour. Soldier Honoured A social was held in honour of Corporal L. A. C. Richmond. Mr Borthwick presided. Mr Scarlett spoke on behalf of the residents and presented the guest with a parcel. A tribute was paid to Mrs Richmond, mother of the guest, whose whole family of five sons and one daughter are in or have been in the fighting services.
