TIMARU SCOTTISH SOCIETY
At the Scottish Society’s monthly concert a welcome was extended to all present by the Chief, Mr Jas. Kinloch. An address was given by the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P.. on the life of the National Bard. Items were contributed as follows: Songs, Mrs W. G. Paterson, Misses Anne Kerr and Gwen Griffiths; vocal duet, Mesdames E. D. Mcßae and W. G. Paterson; songs, Mrs E. D. Mcßae and Mr J. Sligo; violin solo, Miss Grace Pooke; pianoforte solo, Mrs Pooke; saxaphone solo, Mr H. Macdonald; national dances, Misses Rena Jacobs, Dorothy Lyne, Audrey Mackay, Edith Richardt, Mary Frame, Merrill Welford and Beverley Davidson. The customary dance was held at the conclusion of the concert.
