DREAM REALISED
Home For Christmas (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. The serviceman’s dream—home for Christmas—has been realised by 250 naval and army repatriates (including escaped prisoners of war from Switzerland), nurses, W.A.A.C.’s and Air Force personnel, who arrived in New Zealand just in time for the good arrangements by the military authorities to make it possible for them to enjoy Christmas with their families. All that is behind them is unimportant compared 'with the realisation of the years-long dream of Christmas at home. Adventures that would fill a pre-war length novel were forgotten as they make it plain to interviewers that nothing mattered in comparison with being with their kin again for the greatest of family festivals.
