Four Years’ Bombardment LONDON, October 1. It is disclosed that 107 were killed and 200 seriously wounded during the four years’ bombardment of Dover by German longrange guns. Forty-nine were killed in one incident when a hospital was hit on September 26 which was the worst day the town has had. Fifty shells fell in one hour. Dover, which was the main target, had a total of 2226 shells during the war. Shells killed 50 in three other frontline towns—Deal. Folkestone and Ramsgate.
