Timaru Branch The September meeting of the W.C.T.U. was held in the Sailors’ Rest. Mrs Sawyers, of the Salvation Army, took the opening devotions. Miss Fyfe expressed her regret that the Timaru Union had no delegate at the recent convention held in Christchurch, but arrangements had been made to obtain a full report. Letters of appreciation and thanks are to be forwarded to directors of the T. B. Garrick Trust, the Timaru Spinning Circle, the Woolston, Ashburton. Hamilton and Temuka Unions, a friend in Darfield and the Waimate Navy League for donations of money and goods for the Rest. Mrs Holdgate, the delegate to the National Council of Women, reported on the September meeting. Mrs Holdgate and Miss Berry agreed to represent the Union at the meeting of the League of Mothers.
