WAR AGAINST JAPAN
South Africa’s Part (7.30 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 6. "The moment the war in Europe is over, South Africa will become more closely involved iiv the war against Japan." said the Minister for Transport (Mr F. C. Sturrock). He added: “Great calls will be made against our ports, not only as supply bases, but as ship-repairing centres. Fortunately, we are well equipped and can now tackle practically any type of ship repair work. South African rfaval forces will also be very much in the nictiire.”
