Salvage in England.—A statement that collections of metals from English garbage cans were sufficient for the construction of a battleship, two aircraft carriers, and four destroyers was made in an address to the Auckland Rotary Club by Mrs Herbert Timewell, an Auckland resident, who has spent some years in Britain.
