TIMARU BOROUGH RATES
Sir.—l noted with concern that the Timaru Borough rates have again been increased by the motion of the Mayor. This, coming so soon after the election, seems to be very significant. If my particular street. Aynsley Street, received the attention it should. I would have nothing to say. But as it is one of the most neglected streets in Timaru. with grass knee-high, it will be interesting to see whether the Mayor’s pre-election promises will materialise.—l am. etc., DISAPPOINTED CITIZEN.
