MINISTER’S VISIT TO TIMARU
Deputations Will Meet The Hon. C. F. Skinner The Hon. c. F. Skinner. Minister of Lands and Minister of Rehabilitation, will arrive in Timaru this evening. Deputations will wait on the Minister at the Grosvenor Hotel to-morrow morning. These have been arranged by the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P. for Timaru, and will include one from the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce comprising' the chairman 'Mr S. G. McClelland), Messrs J. M. Bishop and W. J. Watkins and the Mayor of Timaru (Mr A. E. S. Hanan). Another deputation will be from the Waimate Returned Servicemen's Association and will be led by Mr S. d’A. L. Grut. * To-morrow afternoon the Minister will attend a meeting in Timaru of high-country runholders and in the evening Mr' Skinner will be the guest of delegates from the Timaru Labour Representation Council and members of the Timaru Labour Party. It is likely that both Messrs Jack Acland, M.P. for Temuka, and Mr D. C. Kidd, M.P. for Waitaki, will also be in Timaru to-morrow in connection with the Minister’s visit.
