Finances Satisfactory.—“ The splendid profit of £1066/3/11 was made from farming and cropping operations against last year’s profit of £797/15 '4 ” comments the annual report of the president of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society.' “Thanks to the loyal support of members and the splendid results of the farming and cropping activities, and notwithstanding the donation of the net profit from the Spring Show for patriotic purposes, the Society has experienced a satisfactory year.” the report adds "After writing down buildings and improvements £B3B 3 9, plant, fixtures and fittings £4O/17 9 and carrying £463/5/4 to capital account, the assets of the Society total £36,734'3/8 During the year the remainder of the mortgage on the Waikoko propertv has been paid oil, and the Society's assets arc now unencumbered.”
