Among the exhibits are specimens which have won for the artist distinction in world-famous exhibitions Abroad. Mrs White was also awarded First Diploma at the N.Z. Centennial Exhibition, and has on view a replica of a miniature of the Hon. Celia Monckton, which w’as one of the collection for which the Diploma was won. The original is in the possession of Lady Galway in England. Copies of miniatures executed since the war and given by the artist for the purpose of raising Patriotic Funds are also in the collection. Timaru, and for that purpose welcoming all Art lovers, Mrs White can only undertake a very limited number of commissions and selects those subjects which her wide experience indicates as being really paintable.
