All trains leaving starting station before Midnight on Sunday, January 16. will run to destination. All passenger reservations made for journeys in South Island on and after Monday, January 17 are CANCELLED, and those passengers, after giving proof of necessity for travel and obtaining the required permit, must make fresh application for reservations. Goods Traffic for shipment and essential Industries only will be accepted for transit. Commencing on MONDAY. JANUARY 17, and continuing until further notice, only the following trains will run:— EXPRESS TRAINS CHRISTCHURCH—DUNEDININVERCARGILL MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY —Express train leaves Christchurch 8.35 a.m.. Timaru 11.50 a.m., Studholme 12.36 p.m.; arrives Dunedin 5.1 p.m. Express train leaves Dunedin 8.45 а. Studholme 1.4 p.m., Timaru 1.54; arrives Christchurch 5.10 p.m. TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY—UsuaI 8.35 a.m. ChristchurchInvercargill and 6.15 a.m. InvercargillLyttelton Wharf Express Trains will run. The Express Trains connect at Studholme with buses to and from Waimate. ASHBURTON—TIMARU Usual 7.13 a.m. and 4.31 p.m. Ash-burton-Timaru trains and 7.35 a.m. and 4.55 p.m. Timaru-Ashburton trains will NOT run on Saturdays. 11.15 a.m. Ashburton-Timaru and 11.36 a.m. Timaru-Ashburton trains will run as usual. FAIRLIE BRANCH Passenger and Goods Trains between Timaru and Fairlie will be cancelled. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, Mixed Train leaves Fairlie 8.5 a.m., Albury 8.40, Pleasant Point 9.32, and arrives Timaru 10.13 a.m. Return Mixed Train leaves Timaru same days at 4.25 p.m.. Pleasant Point 5.8, Albury 6.3, and arrives Fairlie б. p.m. . TIMARU—OAMARU Usual 7.20 a.m. and 4.44 p.m. Timaru-Oamaru trains and 7.25 a.m. and 4.15 p.m. Oamaru-Timaru trains will NOT run on Saturdays. For further particulars inquire at Stations.
