Christchurch Pair Wins Doubles
(N.Z.P.A.) DUNEDIN, January 13. The South Island croquet tournanament was continued to-day. The lawns were very keen. The final of the championship doubles resulted in a win for Mrs Palmer and Colonel Beamish (a Christchurch pair) against Mrs Holmes (Southland) and Mrs Metcalf (Logan Park) by 26 points to 12. Other championship results were: —

Mrs Middleton (Christchurch) 26 beat Miss Bell (Christchurch) 15. Mrs McCracken (West Coast) 26 beat Mrs Kellaway (Christchurch) 17 Mrs Palmer (Christchurch) 26 beat Mrs Forrester (Leith) 15. Mrs Holmes (Southland) 26 beat Mrs McCracken (West Coast) 22. Mrs Pepper (Christchurch) 26 beat Mrs Anderson (Watea) 7. Mrs Knox (Watea) 26 beat Mrs Millin (Punga) 10.
