The name of Vice-Admiral R. H. C. Halifax, C. 8., appears among a list of 256 naval casualties announced reveriity. He Bcmmanded H.M.S. Rodney from 1936 to 1938 and later became Rear-Admiral Commanding the Home Fleet destroyers.
