Frost Occurs
Waimate has experienced the extremes of temperature within a few days. After a recording of 86 degrees on Friday, the highest temperature so for this summer, a change took place, and conditions became cooler on Monday evening. Although no frost was recorded in Waimate, ice coated still water at Waihaorunga on Tuesday morning.
