APPLE AND PEAR GROWERS
Marketing Proposal Rejected

The apple and pear growers in Canterbury, in common with growers in most other parts of New Zealand, have rejected the Government's new proposals for the marketing of their crop this season.
This decision was reached at a special meeting, when a resolution was carried demanding a return of the free market with reasonable price ceilings.
