Air Crashes In America
(8.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 26. Eleven persons were killed and one was injured when a four-motored bomber crashed near Columbus, Ohio. Ten persons were killed in a crash near Ordway, Colorado. A heavy bomber crashed in mountainous country in New Mexico, probably killing the entire crew of nine. In a fourth crash, which occurred in Columbia, South Carolina, six persons were killed.
A large plane completely demolished was sighted 100 miles from San Francisco. It is believed to be the naval plane carrying 19 persons, including Rear-Admiral English, which was reported missing.
