NATIONAL SAVINGS The flag signifying that Geraldines quota of £l6B in the National Savings Campaign has been attained was hoisted to the top of the National Savings indicator on Wednesday morning. Up to 9 o'clock £2OO had been received for the week.
SCHOOLBOY CATCHES SALMON An 18-pound salmon, the first to be brought to Geraldine this season from the Rangitata, was caught by Ronald Davis, a 12-year-old schoolboy.
